Los Angeles, CA \u2013 Metalcore act\u00a0\u00a0I, OF THE STORM\u00a0<\/strong>has released its newest single, the tastefully blended, cyberpunk-influenced track\u00a0\u201cCataclysm\u201d<\/strong>. Musically the song is a fantastic blend of ambient tones and heavy-hitting metalcore sensibilities, sure to find appeal across multiple genres.<\/p>\n

Lyrically, the song is inspired by real-life situations of overwhelming emotions. Of the track, vocalist Damian Snapp says,\u00a0\u201cI wrote the lyrics for Cataclysm about the severe abandonment issues and overwhelming emotions that often come from the fallout of toxic and abusive relationships by comparing them to a cataclysmic ending of the world. The lyrics are inspired by real-life situations that other members in the band have gone through in their life and I felt like I could also relate those to my own experiences.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Along with the single, the 5-piece is excited to unveil its new music video for\u00a0\u201cCataclysm\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>captured by Zack Perez from Astral Media.\u00a0\u201cWe wanted to create an introductory video for our project that really captured the energy of our music and live performance,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0said guitarist and vocalist Brandon Beaulieu.\u00a0\u201cZack Perez did an amazing job at capturing that!
