ABOUT THE TRACK: Riding high on the success of their debut single “Sinking Under” (surpassing 80K on Spotify and 100K on YouTube in one month), Buffalo-based metalcore quartet Until I Wake return with “Self-Medicated.” The track explores a more accessible rock side of the band while continuing the theme of addressing depression and addiction.
“The video portrays our frontman Cody drinking alone in a hotel room, when he passes out, his band mates try to help him,” says bassist Ryan Ridley. “He runs away from the situation but upon reflecting in isolation he returns to the room and seeks out the friendship and comradery of his friends.”
