ARTIST: DVDDY
SONG: “Goodbye” (feat. Aaron Gillespie)
SOUNDS LIKE: EDM-infused post-hardcore for fans of A Day To Remember, Illenium, I See Stars
ABOUT THE TRACK: DVDDY, an EDM and post-hardcore artist with a stunning dad bod, has teamed up with Aaron Gillespie for his new single “Goodbye.” In addition to providing guest vocals, Gillespie also co-wrote and drummed on the track.
“The song is about letting toxic people go even if you love them, and how truly difficult that decision can be,” says DVDDY, who is often seen donning socks with sandals and his trusty fanny pack, while DJing behind a 4-burner propane grill.
“Goodbye” combines classic pop-punk/post-hardcore vocals and guitars with big, electro-percussion and a wall of synths.
Teetering the lines of emotional and encouraging, to heavy and angry, DVDDY’s music explores a wide range of human emotion and mental health. From headlining Alienstock the official Area 51 Raid, to charting #2 on Billboard, to releasing songs with emo megastars, there’s never a dull moment in the DVDDY FVMILY.
DVDDY is currently at work on an upcoming track with Kellin Quinn from Sleeping with Sirens and EDM duo Caslow, due in 2021.
