Houston, TX Pop-Punk artist Michael Roberts, who performs under the moniker roberts., has just dropped his latest single “@ U”. ” This song is meant to be a sucker punch to any one who feels it’s aimed at them,” explains Roberts, “I really want it to cause some self reflection with people.” The track was mixed and mastered by Matt Qualls (Julien Baker).
roberts. is a midwestern pop punk band comprised of one person. Using his name as his moniker, Mike Roberts started this journey as an acoustic artist looking to sharpen his songwriting skills. As time progressed and his first two releases “fine” and “split” gained traction, he decided to break further into the full band sound. Producing the music in his home and seeking outside help from producer Matt Qualls of Young Avenue Sound in Memphis, Tennesse (Julien Baker, The Heavy Eyes, Speck Joliet), roberts. was able to find a sound that is explosive yet still tells a story. roberts. is currently working on a new ep, scheduled for spring of 2021.
