POST PROFIT Makes The World “Better Off” With New Single
Longview, Texas alternative rock outfit Post Profit has just dropped their latest single, “Better Off”. The hard rock track seamlessly blends dreamy melodies and tight production into soaring choruses, seemingly tailor made for modern rock radio.
Lyrically, the single focuses on societies lack of empathy. ” “Better Off” touches on a lot of sensitive aspects of the state of humanity currently and throughout history,” explains the band, “The track presents the idea that hate is deeply intertwined in our current culture, and that hate is being propelled by the media, politics, and institutional racism.”
More than simply pointing out the problems, Post Profit offers a solution. The track poses the question “What if we could learn to love?”, hinting that it will take a collective effort for people to learn about one another’s cultures and learn to respect their differences. “If we all love and respect our fellow man to some degree, the human race as a whole will be “Better Off”,” says the band, “Humanity could progress leaps and bounds if different people and different nations across the globe could band together and form a sort of global standard of respect, peace, and love for one another.”
“Better Off” is the second single off of the forthcoming full-length album titled When You Think It’s Right It’s Always Wrong, coming this Fall. It features Jonathan Jourdan of To Whom It May. Along with the single, the band have dropped a lyric video, which you can watch below.
