OVERDRIVEN RELEASE NOSTALGIC HARD-ROCK SINGLE “RIVER”
Virginia-based rock group OVERDRIVEN has released their nostalgic rock n’ roll, soon-to-be-classic single/video “River.” Laced with hard-driving instrumentation and traditional rock vocals, “River” is heightened by the group’s passion to fuse genres including grunge, Blues, hard rock, and heavy metal.
“This song is purely about getting caught in the rush of being a rockstar, moving around a lot, and getting the attention of beautiful ladies,” the band shares of the track. “Having to decide if you’re going to go down that river again, have a great night and regret everything in the morning.”
The coinciding video for “River” explores the “traditional” life of a rockstar—nights fueled by drinks, catching the eye of a beautiful woman from across the bar, and, of course, rock n’ roll at its finest. The group can be seen drinking together at the bar, performing to an energized crowd, and engaging with women who have come to see them play live. This all leads to the video’s finale in which the girl leaves the bar with someone else before speeding off into the night.
The “River” music video was shot and edited by Cody Mausolf and directed by Overdriven and OD Productions at the Burnout Pit in Richmond, Virginia.
