HEREFORTHEROSES & SK8 DROP PUNK-ROOTED ALT TRACK “CYCLONE”
Alternative pop punk artist HEREFORTHEROSES has released his debut album Everything’s 42, 14 tracks of hip-hop influenced bangers rooted in punk rock ethos. The lead single “Cyclone” taps into this chart-topping sound even more with a feature from the rapper SK8, who recently collabed with Good Charlotte, Sum 41, and Wiz Khalifa.
“We love what sk8 is doing musically and felt like it was the perfect artist to collaborate with on this record!” says HEREFORTHEROSES. “We had a few different options, but are super happy ‘Cyclone’ is the one.”
“Cyclone” is the actual storm of the album. Feeling stuck and not being able to reset or catch a break. It’s a story of a personal journey of growth and redefining boundaries and changing the game.
Each song on Everything’s 42 has a story behind it. The album is arranged in a way that will give listeners an insight into the artist’s life and his past struggles and accomplishments.
“The album is the result of me not quitting music,” says HEREFORTHEROSES. “It shows a progression of mixed emotions that I felt during the time of refinding/ reigniting my love and passion for music. I’ve talked about this quite a lot actually. But, the album was meant to be fun, it was meant to be cathartic, it was meant to be for me and the people around me. And when you see how people respond to something you did out of love with love. There’s no better feeling in the world. If you listen to the album, and tells a pretty obvious story there’s ups and downs, haha. But at the end of the day the only thing I can say about it is I guess I needed it more than I realized.“
