Die Another Day choose a more optimistic view of grief on “Isolation”
Ahead of their sophomore EP Fiction coming out on June 24th, the metalcore quintet Die Another Day has released a music video for their latest single “Isolation”
Embracing a bit more of Avenged Sevenfold’s emo side, “Isolation” is a blistering track, underpinned by a punk bassline and held together with somber lyrics about grief, but with an optimistic outlook.
“We wanted to approach this subject matter from a different angle,” says vocalist Jared Boyd. “The song finishes with a note that feels like best friends excited for the next time they will see each other, no matter how long away that may be.”
The video for “Isolation” shows one of the band members going through the process of feeling isolated in life, even though you are surrounded by friends and family (like feeling alone in a crowded room).
Conceived in the spring of 2019 with a variety of influences, the quintet expands into multiple genres, getting fans excited to embrace different styles of music. Die Another Day exploded on the scene with Wild Fire, their debut EP released on April 10th, 2020. Having already released “Can’t Wait for Summer” and “Brain Dead” this year, there’s more to come from this band with their sophomore EP “Fiction” coming out June 24th 2022.
