Kellin Quinn Joins Dacian Miron on 80’s-tinged Emo Single “Call It A Hustle, Sweetheart”

Romanian-born and Florida-based frontman Dacian Miron has recruited Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn for the release of his new single “Call It A Hustle, Sweetheart.” The electro-rock powered emo track will appear on Miron’s debut EP Slightly Mysterious, Somewhat Delirious (produced by Kevin Lankford).

The new EP will officially be released April 23rd, but starting March 26th, fans can stream it exclusively on Spotify.

“Call It A Hustle, Sweetheart” is a song about being being looked down upon and treated worse for not being part of a particular clique. The fear of not being able to express who you are because you might be labeled an outcast.

This sends the message that you should NEVER have to change for anyone just so you can blend in,” says Miron. “If you are happy with yourself, at the end of the day that’s all that matters, no one can take that away from you. The song conveys the anger that stems from being treated that way, and fighting back, showing that at the end of the day anything could be made possible. And Kellin took the song to a whole different place.

Miron had trouble making friends when he first moved to America at ten years old, his accent made him a prime target for bullying. Struggling to find acceptance with his peers, Miron secluded himself in his room watching YouTube videos and finding refuge in punk music. Soon after, he began forming bands of his own, most notably The August Name, a group that found moderate local success opening for AWOLNATION and recording an EP with Lee Dyess (Mayday ParadeGo RadioI Set My Friends on Fire).

Miron launched his solo project in the summer of 2019 with the release of his first single “Feelin’ Dangerous.” The music video racked up 30k upon its release and is still growing everyday.
