Dearbones Releases Bitchin’ Glam Rock Video For “Novena”

Worcester, MA post-hardcore outfit Dearbones just dropped the amazingly Glam Rock-influenced music video for their single “Novena.”

The video, produced by King Wolf Creative, features the members of Dearbones donning their best 80’s rock personas and outfits for a drug-fueled send-up of the excess that was the Glam era. “The last music video was very serious and everyone just wanted to have fun with this one, and showcase our personalities,” says vocalist Frankie Chuili.

The video juxtaposes the serious nature of the track itself. Lyrically, “Novena” focuses on leaving an unhealthy relationship. “I left a long-term toxic relationship, and this song is the product of 2 years after the fact,” explains Chuili. “The lyrics changed often as my bitterness slowly faded and I could write a song that accurately depicted my feelings of being stuck in such a negative space for so long.

Bursting onto the scene in 2018 with the official release of their debut EP The Sleep Of Reason Produces Monsters, the powerful diversity in the material, versatility & dynamics of their sound, & sheer strength of the music created by Dearbones immediately proved they were a serious force to be reckoned with. Ready to play their way through the pain and struggles with life, love, and death that unite us all – Dearbones makes memorable music that matters, designed for max-volume.
