Bonesteel’s vocalist is a real POS in their ridiculous new music video for “Caught Up”
Hollywood hard rock/metal duo Bonesteel have shared an over-the-top music video for their new single “Caught Up.” Bizarre and ridiculous, vocalist Jake Bonesteel (who is wearing a giant plush unicorn head because, why not?) is seen scurrying to make it to the video shoot on time. Unfortunately for Bonesteel, there’s old ladies, irate fans and a host of other absurd road blocks in his way.
“‘Caught Up’ has some of the most technical musicianship of any song we’ve ever written, so we wanted the music video to compliment it in the complete opposite way,” says Bonesteel. “We created an alternate universe where we could really explore another side of us we haven’t yet been able to show. We did that through the use of cartoonish characters that mimic our real life personalities. Sometimes artists in heavier genres take themselves way too seriously. We wanted to put something out that was light-hearted and poke fun at the tropes, music industry, and most importantly ourselves.“
“Caught Up” was produced by Augustus Cryns (Anti Flag, Hedley, Panic! At the Disco, Butcher Babies). The duo have shared the stage with bands such as Miss May I, Gemini Syndrome, Fozzy, and Attila and hold endorsements with Peavey Electronics, Elixir Strings, Seymour Duncan Pickups, and KHDK pedals.
