Master Puff Warns Against “Playing Rich” With New Single
Hailing from Massillon, Ohio, hip-hop artist Master Puff has just dropped his latest single, “Playing Rich”. The track, produced by LANCEXCV, mixed & mastered by Con, features Puff’s lyrical acrobatics over a chill flute loop and sparse percussion. A video is in the works.
Lyrically, Puff speaks on the ills of stunting without means. “I saw an artist I used to look up to go broke from a gambling addiction,” explains Master Puff. “Even after losing his savings, he still tried to live the extravagant life he grew accustomed to. All I saw was somebody trying to play rich instead of holding themselves accountable. Like Marshawn Lynch once said, “Take care of your chickens“.”
Master Puff is a linguistic gymnast, or “A rapper on a balance beam” as he puts it. Teetering between charmingly witty and over-the-top, he has been one of the fastest-growing artists in NE Ohio since early 2020. He secured a sponsorship with Acathla Clothing in March of 2021, due to his rapidly growing fanbase, before releasing any music on streaming services! Master Puff is an example to follow for any artists on the come-up, and also one to watch out for.
